Canon Point: Chapter 34
At this point in the canon, Seiran has just blown up the entrance into a room which the now Gold Rose, Haruto Kisugi, is is after Anis has escaped, sacrificing his safety by locking himself inside with him. Earlier in this chapter, he also kissed Anis, or at least gave her mouth to mouth, in order to give her a concoction to give her more blood. He enjoyed it and she didn't mind at all.
Gender & Sex: Male & Male
Age:
This is a little tricky. Though he's just around 3-years-old, Seiran is physically 16. Being a homunculus, a living form that is man-made, you can't tell by just looking that he's a little over 1000 days old, nor could you if you conversed with him or looked at his grades. He was created to develop fast, and you'd believe him if he said he was a teenager and not a toddler, based on looks, personality, intelligence, and cognitive skills. Nothing about him reads anything below adolescence.
Birthdate/Sign: Canon birthdate of January 26th, making him an Aquarius!
In relation to his birthdate, the following traits fit him, being an Aquarius:
caring, inventive, thoughtful, scientific, cooperative, loyal friend, uncertain, lacks confidence, unwilling to share, scientific analysis, experimentation, friendship, courtesy, kindness
Tattoo: ♒, 3 inches long, 2 inches high, on the back of his neck.
Suitability:
Rather than say Seiran is a doormat or pushover, it's more like he's accepted the fact that he was created to be sacrificed. He's grown accustomed to serving man, his Dominion, and other purposes for which he was created. He's accustomed to following orders, listening to what he's been told, and following through with what he's learned and using it.
Despite being young and an artificial human, Seiran does understand how humans work and physicality, biology, and all that other good junk that becomes involved with sex are part of that too. When he was first created, he was shoved into a house in a room filled with books specifically for the purpose of learning how human beings act, react, communicate with one another, and sex and intimacy are great factors in all of that. Don't let that cute face fool you. He knows what he's doing. He knows.
Also, being an intelligent person and well-read, etc., he might not have experience to back these things up, so that might read as a little awkward at first (book smarts never really give you the whole picture, especially where sex is concerned). His intelligence also means that he can get by on his own, and it's also important to say that he's been doing that with little help from the Society since he was created.
It's also good to point out that it's stated that Seiran dooesn't dislike anything. So if he can't exactly hate or even be unhappy with something, then it would be unlikely that he could find this something he couldn't become accustomed too or enjoy somewhere down the line. While it may start off as servitude and something that he's doing because he's been told to do it, he still wouldn't dislike it and it would become something he'd be a lot more interested in alone the way. It's just recreational intercourse, after all. It's physical chemistry. And boy is he good with chemistry.
Most important, though, is probably the awakening, which involves the Dominion, Anis, becoming physically and emotionally close to her Rhode Knights, and Seiran is one of them. This being part of the Rhode Knight duty, he's willing to this, not just because of his position, but because he does genuinely care for Anis, Dominion or not. While being with someone other than Anis might be weird, to him, it's not something that would last for long because, as stated in the other paragraphs, he doesn't dislike things, even of this nature, and is able to follow orders, no matter who may be giving them.
Power:
Because he is the Blue Rose Rhode Knight, Seiran comes with a certain skill set related to his position and knighthood. He of course has his set powers relating to alchemy, science, and intelligence/information. These include anything from offense to defense, making bombs and healing friends. Being a Knight, however, means that Anis can summon him with a simple kiss of a card. Though most knights are bonded together to Anis by blood, it appears that because Seiran isn't exactly human, this doesn't apply to him.
I'd like for Seiran to lose his ties to Anis, since this is a less personal power and more something that comes with his title than his being. It also kind of bonds them together, and too much of that leads to complications in this setting. I'd like him to keep his power pertaining to alchemy and science, which means that, specifically, he can create and concoct potions at will and has supplies on hand. The power more has to do with creation and not knowledge, so if he can't keep it, he will still retain the knowledge but have to get supplies and means from elsewhere.
Personality:
When Anis first laid eyes on Seiran, the first thing that she said was "He's adorable!" and "He looks like a girl!", which is honestly what most would say. If you see him by himself, he's almost doll like; feminine, melancholy air, still, and collected. He's got a demeaner and air about him that just radiates a certain stillness, almost something kind of hazy an nostalgic. He's almost impossible to dislike, based on his appearance alone, and while not what you'd consider handsome, he's extremely pretty and has a childish face and eyes, and it's almost like you'd want to mother him.
You wouldn't expect him to be intelligent, powerful, and not even a real human.
Seiran was created by the Society, a group of sorcerers that came to be about two-hundred years ago, that created the Rhode Knights, four knights bound to a Dominion by Rosario Cards. Of the four, each was given a colour (red, black, white, and yellow), and the task to protect the Devil's Seal with their Dominion. When the Dominion kisses the corresponding Rosario Card of her selected knight, they are summoned to her, no matter where they are, and are to help her and follow her orders. The first generation of Rhode Knights came to a bump in the road when the Yellow Rose became jealous of the Red Rose for the Dominion had chosen him as her "True Knight". He tried to destroy the Devil's Seal, locking a powerful demon away. This is where the story differs. It's told that the three other knights sacrificed the Yellow Rose to the seal, fixing the damage he had caused. Another tale tells of the Yellow Knight realizing his wrong doing and sacrificing himself to the seal. Either way, it was discovered that a human sacrifice was an easy way to repair the seal, and because the Society was down a knight, they decided to make on: the Blue Rose. That's where Seiran comes in; he's the Blue Rose of this knight generation.
This means that Seiran is a homunculus, an artificial human made by man's magic and alchemy. Seiran was born when Anis was about 12 or 13, though he looked around her same age. Being man made meant that he couldn't necessarily grow or develop, but that he could be taught much and be used for work that humans would be unsavory for. The Blue Rose was created exclusively to be a sacrifice; nothing more and nothing less.
Seiran was put into a mansion filled with books that would teach him how to be human. Upon entering the mansion, other people would be assaulted by toxins released from roses, causing them to create false memories and thoughts related to why he was there. When Kaede first entered his house, he created a memory of Seiran being his childhood friend, which was a complete fallacy. Seiran hadn't even been born when Kaede was a child. Most individuals will just assume that he lives there with his Grandparents. Either way, Seiran is a sickly person, weak and always coughing. It's said to be a rose allergy, but it's not confirmed.
See, Seiran spends a lot of his time either reading up on human psychology, their interactions, how they work or he's in his greenhouse, working with chemicals, trying to see if he can create a real and factual blue rose. White roses can be dyed blue, but a real blue rose doesn't exist, much how he himself was created. It's a certain idea he has that if he can create a grown blue rose, he himself will feel validated and more like a human than his books could ever teach him to be.
Concerning the books, they're how he's learned pretty much everything he knows about people and life. How to be polite, what to do in situations, the bonds that people have. It' how he gets his by the book mannerisms; he always sounds pretty formal and can only really pick up slang and the actual action of mannerisms by being out and experiencing people. It's quite incredible that he's picked up so much social skill in such a small amount of time. Seiran doesn't have experience, but he does have knowledge, and knowledge is a form of power. He's intelligent in school, well-read, and extremely good in a certain field: science. There are some things he can't read about in books and can't experience any other way, such as sensations, going out to certain places, and other things you can't exactly read about and completely understand.
His powers as a Rhode Knight deal mainly with science, magic, chemistry, and alchemy. Basically anything that has to do with mixing, creation, and concocting. There's always a vial of this or a beaker of that on his person, and it always works in the gang's favour when they're in a pinch. He seems to be a pretty talented chef, too, based on the intricate blue rose valentine he gave Anis (he also wants to share a boxed lunch with her but shhhh it's a secret!). He can heal others, and is happy to do so. He can create bombs and other forms of offense via his chemicals, and he can ever make lighter things such as love potions and shining serums with his power and knowledge. His power doesn't exactly create his ability. It amplifies it. He also has an inquisitive mind, especially since he's a created being. If he doesn't understand a situation, he sticks his hands right in and figures out the mechanics, reasoning, and the in-and-out of everything. This can also make him a little spontaneous and off the wall, suddenly doing things in order to get a better understanding or just because he doesn't get that it's not exactly something acceptable. He's extremely observant, analytically, and an expert and noticing and recording data.
Being a Rhode Knight, his main duty, above all, is to serve his Dominion, Anis. Anis really means the world to him, not only as a Dominion, but as a person. He values her greatly, makes subtly flirtatious comments towards her, and is obviously interested in her on a romantic level. When it was first said that Anis goal was to awaken her knights by connecting with them via physical and emotional connections as well as blood marriages, he reacted in a way that was slightly suggestive with his mannerisms. While he went through his True Contract, he whispered to Anis "It's like we're getting married, isn't it?". He really does like her on a level that is above friendship but still remains innocent. He was elated when Anis summoned him, loves it when she pays attention to him, and is gleeful that she likes him on any level. Seiran will get jealous when other Rose Knights get attention and awakened (When Mutsuki turned on everyone and kissed her, Seiran goes as far to exclaim "I think half-half-killing him would be more than enough!". Though he's an innocent, he can still get a little jealous). He's stripped for her. He lives to serve her. He's confessed his feelings to her, though she didn't understand him. Seiran loves Anis and values her above his own life. This isn't necessarily a good thing, however, because
His other purpose though, is of course a sacrifice for the Devil Seal. Early on in the story line, the Yellow Rose shows up in the form of Haruto, Anis' childhood friend whom Seiran feels unease with. Haruto, being an original rose and Seiran being a created one, is someone who Seiran feels a certain insecurity towards. He has shoes to fill and a large purpose that he hopes he can accomplish. Without the Yellow Rose's exile, the Blue Rose wouldn't exist. He owes a lot to him but still is his enemy, mostly because of his abuse towards the Knights and Anis. Anis forgives Haruto, however, and Seiran attempts to sacrifice himself to the gate, though Anis and Kaede save him from being sucked in. Instead, Anis was almost absorbed by the seal, though Haruto saved her and sacrificed himself. Now that Seiran's purpose wasn't fulfilled, there was a certain sense of not being validated, but he did come to realize that his job was also to protect the Dominion, his friend Anis, and that he couldn't do that dead. Anis means the world to him and he will be her Blue Rose forever, power or no power here. During a fight to capture an Arcana Card, cards to complete the of the Demon Seal for good, Seiran was rescued by Anis, but he sacrificed himself via the White Rose's Substitution Magic to transfer the injuries and psychological trauma to his own body, even though he knew it would possibly kill him. He is truly willing to sacrifice himself, no matter the situation, as long as it's for the good of his fellow Knights, but most importantly, Anis.
Kaede is another important part of Seiran's life. Or, it's more like the opposite, but they still are great friends to each other. While they both mean a lot to each other, Kaede created all of these vivid details of a childhood with Seiran in it and then discovered it was all a lie caused by hallucinogenic plants. Seiran kept up the lie, as was his duty in order to be with everyone at school and in general. This angered and frustrated Kaede, to know that a lot of his childhood that he recalled was a lie, but he did forgive Seiran when he was about to sacrifice himself to the Devil Seal. The remained close, continuing to go to school together, and Kaede still vists him in his mansion. The share a certain kind of familial trust, even though they actually haven't known each other all that long, and Seiran will nag Kaede when he breaks the rules or steps out of bounds with his duties.
Concerning the other Rose Knights, Seiran feels concern for them and they share a sort of brothers-in-arms bond, but they don't particularly interact aside from their duties.
Seiran is easily flustered and embarrassed, both because of his insecurities and his fantasies. He gets easily flushed and flustered and blushy when he thinks about Anis and his future with her (being awakened, marriage, etc.). He's insecure of his height, not wanting the much taller Kaede to know what it is. Anything showy and flashy that is related to him is something he's not comfortable with, not to say he doesn't like it. It's said that Seiran doesn't dislike anything, including being embarrassed. On a inside cover, it's shown that Anis puts him in a squirrel costume, and he says it's embarrassing, blushing like mad, but also doesn't seem...unhappy. It is true that he doesn't exactly look upset when he's flustered, and even being a little embarrassed by his feelings for Anis, he still loves her and she makes him happy.
Though Seiran does know a lot about human interaction, he sometimes can come off as a little off or quirky. He doesn't get some jokes and will normally stay serious most of the time, he speaks extremely properly (addressing Anis with "-sama" and using formal diction as well as little slang) and with a bit of a feminine air, but still does a lot of immature things, though they come off more as naive and not exactly silly or childish. He dresses childishly a lot of the time, though it's still fashionable, uses cool blue tones (get it? blue hair, blue rose, blue clothes? yuk yuk), and accentuates his style and apparent age. His immaturity is more like a small child being shy and polite and acting like a Victorian doll rather than a rowdy boy; it's how he looks, what he comes off as, and everyone knows it and is often attracted to it. He will, occasionally, let his more kid-like side show through, using banana peels to trip Kaede up as punishment for being rude to Anis and the like, among other strange inventions he whips out in times of trouble. His friend, Ninufa (a floating cat bat creature that is a keeper of the Rosario Cards), is also childish, though in the more simple and silly way, though Ninufa regards him as a brother and the two of them get along great. It's common to see Ninufa with Seiran in art and splash pages. They're pretty much partners in "crime" at this point.
Where romance and feelings are concerned, especially with Anis (but also in general), he's extremely forward. He doesn't necessarily plan things out and will spontaneously and quite naturally do things for her: grab her, compliment her, profess things to her. He doesn't really pull punches and it flows from him so well that it flusters her. For someone that looks like a 12-year-old, he's got a lot of casanova blood in him. He also understands a lot about love, both from feeling it himself and reading up on relationships. In essence, he's really good at reading people, in part to his mind and how it works, but also to his research. He understands that Kaede likes Anis and that the other Rose Knights also hold deep feelings for her, even though some of them might not even know themselves or at least fully comprehend their feelings. It's also very often that people are forwards towards him, as he's a school idol, extremely attractive, and appeals to both men and women with his young androgyny.
Another insecurity of Seiran's is also related to his feelings, but it also ties into his position as a Rhode Knight. Because it's not acceptable to be in love with one's Dominion, he feels slightly disappointed in being frustrated in Kaede, who is also in love with her. He also doesn't want to be left behind because of his flaws and imperfections, leading to not being awakened, or to be the weakest and to burden his Dominion. This all is pretty unfounded, though, as he does become the third Rose Knight to be awakened via Anis telling him he was irreplaceable during his healing after sacrificing himself for her sake. Herealized that instead of the others moving forward without him, he was the one holding himself back and ignoring his heart telling him to move forward. He regained faith in himself afterwards, then confessed his love towards Anis, which she reciprocated...in a more familial and friendly way.
As a few miscellaneous tidbits revealed in small sections and sid enotes, Seiran is a very good dancer, always goes to sleep at 9PM and has a thing for costumes, even going so far as to dressing in drag for the sake of Kaede and Anis' relationship. He's also pretty close to Itsushi-sensei, the information giver from the Society that guides the crew and gives them the low down on what they have to do to perform their duties. They share quite a touching and blushy hug that leans a little on the BL side, but their relationship is very innocent. There's a bond between the five of us. Sure, it's lined with thorns, it ties us up, and sometimes we even get hurt by it. But even if it brings us pain, that's not something we have to be afraid of. Because those rose vines are what keep us together.

I'm sure that his is how you contact everyone here, correct? Don't worry, I won't be asking many questions. Oh, well I can't really say that since I haven't gotten any feed back yet.
Mainly, I'd just like to see any statistics you've gathered on this place. Specifically, anything numerical or valuable from an information standpoint. If you can tell me anonymously, feel free to do so. I understand that things like this can get embarrassing!! "Zodionlogs" Third-Person Prose Entry: (200 word min)
It's so fast he should be frightened. One part of him is, in fact, but not the fight or flight instinct he knows humans should have. Seiran can feel a panic in his heart as he takes in his new surroundings. This wasn't the fight he was in. This isn't the room, there isn't a blond haired gentleman (if that's what you can call a man like Haruto) ready to do battle with him. Most importantly there is no Anis, but he knew that already. Anis should be gone. But not like this. Most certainly not like this.
It takes him only seconds to take in the new surroundings. The temple, the alter. There are a lot of things about his life that shouldn't make sense, but that make sense to him. His powers, his place, his position, his creation. He's known for a long time, perhaps since day one, that these kinds of things don't happen or are experienced by everyone. Seiran has been abducted, almost died, and that didn't cause him to falter at the end of the day; they were merely bumps in the road. But this...this is different. This doesn't feel the same, this doesn't feel like a Rhode Knight situation. Open air, in front of a kind of pagoda. It's rare that something seems unnatural to him. Being dead is not an option anymore. It used to be, but he's past that now.
"Haruto-san? If you're doing this, show yourself! I want to fight you fairly!" No answer.
"Anis-sama! Anis-sama, are you out there? Please answer me! Are you alright?" No answer.
So that eliminates those options. And if he's learned anything from Anis, it's to not dwell and move forward. Analytically, it makes sense. He can't stand around forever. He's tired of being held back, holding himself back. Seiran steps toward the alter, over the water. Water isn't normally an enemy, but as he steps through to the cented of the alter, he realizes that this most certainly is, at least to him. Memories surge through him: the time that water and the Rose Knight in it almost killed him and the girl he loves. This pain is nothing compared to that, though, and he barely makes a noise as he feels the pain surge through his neck. If this is a punishment, a test, a trial, he doesn't care. He stares, though pained, into the water now surrounding him and realizes his reflected nudity. A flush rises to his face, but it doesn't matter. Embarrassed though he may be, if this is for Anis, it is more than worth it.
A small and frail-looking hand touches the back of the owners thin neck, delicately outlining the newly placed tattoo. He can't see it in his reflection, but he knows it's there. He can feel the area the pain was placed in until his self turns, revealing a decently large tattoo placed on his neck; his Zodiac symbol, not unlike his hair colour. These symbols, as he understood, were something astrological that humans placed a lot of faith in when it came to their hope and happiness. He knows he's not human, but he still clamps his hand over the area and thinks, no, prays, that a God, any God, may hear him and that this test of his strength and what he quickly calculates to be his love and endurance based on the circumstances, will be fruitful.
Most people would panic, and be consumed with fear. Seiran isn't most people. Seiran knows that he has something to fight for. He can't be scared anymore. There's too much at stake now, he can feel it, Rhode Knight related or not. He can feel a hint of his powers, though something does feel a little...missing inside of him. That will be addressed later, even without his powers, he has people to protect. He'll find a way to make do. It's his duty as the Blue Rose Knight. Despite the situation, that will never change; he won't allow it to.
